Building Trust since 1925
At P.J. Kennedy & Sons, we are proud that our rich history spans a century. Our legacy ensures we remain a trusted partner for commercial contractors throughout the Northeast.

A Family tradition since 1925
After emigrating from Ireland, Patrick J. Kennedy settled in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where he began learning the plumbing trade from his uncle.
With hard work and dedication, Patrick built his own business, offering plumbing and gas fitting services to the residents of Beacon Hill and the South End.
It was there that the foundation of Patrick J. Kennedy & Sons, Inc. was laid — with a commitment to integrity, loyalty, and fairness.
In 1968, Patrick’s sons, Paul Sr. and Jim, assumed leadership of the company, continuing to grow the family business. Over the years, they were joined by their siblings Norah and John, further strengthening the company’s family roots.
Under their guidance, the company expanded significantly, joining the Plumbers and Pipefitters Unions in the 1980s and extending its services to commercial clients across Massachusetts.
In 2017, the third generation stepped into leadership. Today, the company is proudly owned and operated by Patrick’s grandsons — Paul Jr. (son of Paul Sr.) and Patrick (son of Jim). Together, they continue the Kennedy legacy, working side by side with a dedicated team of employees — many of whom have been with the company for decades.
Paul and Patrick continue P.J. Kennedy & Sons legacy as one of the leading full service mechanical contracting firms in Massachusetts. Grateful to the two prior generations who have built a solid foundation on which we will continue to build.
